SPARK-TECH is dedicated to setting new standards in the research fields of medicine and biology. Our major aim is to deliver autonomous, user-friendly, secure and affordable laboratory equipment employing artificial intelligence, robotics and information engineering.
The company was established in 2015. Its headquarter and research facilities are both situated in Krakow, Poland. Intense development in cooperation with individual inventors and research groups, as far as in partnership with public universities, resulted in a number of cutting-edge ideas coined into a portfolio of patents.
Our project, Spark-Tech Biobanking System (STBS) is an automated, time- and cost-effective solution for separation, preservation and biobanking of human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs). The system comprises three medical devices: separation tube, robot and biobank.
The project was selected by the European Commission in Instrument SME program to receive funding in 2016 and 2018, and the certificate “Seal of Excellence” in 2019. Furthermore, it received national funding from NCBR in 2019. Currently, the main effort of the company is the market introduction of STBS.
